DescriptionTwo born digital photographs of grab-and-go safer sex kits distributed by the Center for Latino Progress in Hartford, Connecticut during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

(.3) A photograph of the kits contents, which included literature about sexual health and prevention and COVID-19 and condoms.

(.4) A photograph of the kits in brown paper bags with paper tags in Spanish that read, "Condones para la salud: una bolsa por persona, por favor. Practique sexo protegido con su pareja durante esta crisis." English translation: "Condoms for health: one bag per person, please. Practice protected sex with your partner during this crisis."

As the pandemic shutdown extended, staff at the Center for Latino Progress worried about a pandemic baby boom and potential spike in sexually transmitted infections (STIs), where those needing condoms would be less likely to go to the drugstore or the family planning clinics. Anthony Cherolis contacted staff at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center who work to reduce unplanned teen pregnancies and STIs for supplies. The bags of supplies were placed at various locations in the South Green neighborhood of Hartford.
