DescriptionA wood stool used at Wing Lee Laundry in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Made by Nevco Wood Products Company. Most of the stain on the top of the seat has worn off after years of use.
NotesHistorical Note: Moy Chack Fong immigrated to the United States from China in 1937 under the assumed identity of Ng Ming Joe, as a "paper son" to join his father, who purchased fradulent identification, in New York City. In 1948, he purchased Wing Lee Laundry located at 105 Congress Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut. For a detailed biography see Ms 102159 in the library collection.
