NotesSubject Note for 2022.32.154-.156: The Government-General Building was a building located in Seoul, South Korea. The structure was built by the Empire of Japan in 1926 near Gyeongbokgung Palace in central Seoul. The site was used as the administrative headquarters during the occupation of Korea by Japan. After Japan’s surrender at the end of World War II in 1945, the building was used by the South Korean National Assembly. The site was demolished by the Korean Government in 1996.
