DescriptionColor mounted slides of Cardinal Spellman’s visit to Yangy Valley, 3 miles south of Heartbreak, Korea on December 26, 1952 during the Korean War.

NotesSubject Note: Francis Joseph Spellman was an American prelate of the Catholic Church and the sixth Archbishop of New York. He became the Vicar General of the United States Armed forces in 1939. During his time as Vicar General, Spellman would travel oversees to visit United States service personnel. He would help mobilize American Catholics in support of the war effort.
