NotesSubject Note: The Connecticut Institute for Cultural Literacy and Wellness was an educational organization based in Hamden, Connecticut in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The organization offered multicultural programming in schools, community, and educational settings. CCHAP assisted with recommending artists for performances, including the event on June 23, 2001. Artists performing included a Puerto Rican dance group, Cambodian dancer Somaly Hay and her dance troupe, and the Bridgeport/Ansonia-based Polish dance group Orleta.(.1) Puerto Rican dancers with a Puerto Rican flag.
