DescriptionEmpire-style looking glass with outflaring frame with rope molding, shell, rosette, and leaf appliques. The reverse-painted tablet over chain-type dividing strip of molding, depicts a clipper ship in the center, a castle on point at left, cottages and fishermen on point at right, and water in the foreground, in gold leaf, black, and blue paint. Original glass plate is crizzled.
