DescriptionPainting of Julia Ann Hills Forbes by an unknown artist. She has brown eyes and dark hair that is parted in the middle and pulled back, with curls on either side of her face. She is seated and is wearing a green dress with a double white ruffled collar and has a broad belt with a buckle. She has gold earrings and a gold brooch on the front of her dress. She has a white handkerchief in her right hand and three rings on her left hand, one which appears to be a wedding ring. There is a red drape with two gold tassels above her head and across the canvas. To the left is an open window with pink roses blooming.
