DescriptionPhotograph album for the display of cartes-de-visite (CDV) photographs. The album contains 70 CDVs all depicting side views of various models of Smith & Bros. saddles. The saddle types are noted above each image in pencil. The album is constructed of paperboard covered with marbled paper in a brown motif with tan leather covered spine and leather details on the corners. When closed, the page edges are red. A black leather square at the center front of the album reads, “SMITH & BRO'S. / 84 CANAL ST, / NEW ORLEANS, LA.” in gold colored gilt lettering.
