DescriptionA frame building with many windows, steps leading to a door, and two large arched bays is at the right. A carriage is in one of the bays. Smoke issues from two brick chimneys. A pointed structure on the roof at the left may be a cupola over the portion of the building that serves as a barn. A covered pump is beside a tree in the right foreground. A man and a small child in the left foreground are on a path leading to the inn. Immediately in front of the building is a horse-drawn carriage with a single passenger. A man holds the horse by the bridle. A rail fence and a grassy field are at the left. Steep slopes in the background are covered with evergreen trees. Rocky crags and a rocky peak are in the distance.
