DescriptionEngraving with eagle at the top, wings outstretched, with a ribbon below that reads, "Millions for our defence / Not a cent for tribute." In the center, there is a portrait of John Adams and the words "John Adams, President of the United States" below it. Around Adams are boxes that contain the name of a state, its shield, its motto, the number of senators and representatives, and its population.
