DescriptionBlown glass Christmas ornament with a short cylindrical neck and spherical body. The glass is coated on the inside with a pearly-white substance that is slightly translucent. A round, blue, printed design on one side shows a street scene in front of a multi-story stone building. Several cars are parked on the street, and pedestrians walk along the sidewalk. The ground floor of the building is made up of large display windows under an overhang, while the second story has a large banner or display of a landscape in winter. Several stories of the building are shown above the first two floors. Below the scene is the title, "CHRISTMAS REMEMBERED". The scene is inside a plain round border, with, "Winter Wonderland" above and, "Old G. Fox Building, Hartford" below. "RICHARD/ WELLING/ 1995" is hand-written with a thick gilt pen on the back of the ornament. The ornament is accompanied by a small silver cap with a scalloped edge that fits over the neck of the ornament. A folded wire fits inside the cap and glass sphere, providing a loop from which to hang the ornament.
