DescriptionSleeveless dress or slip of off-white, plain-woven wool. It is made from two pieces of fabric, stitched on the sides and buttoned at the shoulders with white plastic 3/8-inch buttons. Although there should be two buttons on each shoulder, one is missing from each. Decorative featherstitching is done with off-white silk yarn around the neckline and arm holes. These areas are backed with 1/2-inch wide strips of white cotton bias tape on the interior of the dress. Two inches up from the lower edge of the dress is more decorative embroidery work in a floral pattern, approximately two inches wide, going all the way around the dress.
