The single-breasted front closure has two brown plastic buttons and wide, notched lapels. The front sides are constructed with a single dart, extending up from the hip pocket to the center of the chest. There is also a side front seam, extending from the armscye down to the hem. The back has a center back seam with a vent (12 3/8 inches long) and a single side back seam running from each armscye. The sleeves are constructed of two shaped pieces, with a faux vent at the cuff and three smaller plastic buttons. There are two slash pockets with flaps, one at each side front at the hip. The proper right side has a second small pocket sewn into it. Another outside pocket is placed on the proper left breast; it is a slash pocket with an upturned flap. Each side front has an inside pocket, double welt style, stitched into the lining. Each side front is lined with the green polyester fabric. This material also lines the back across the shoulders, as well as the back vent. The sleeves are lined with a polyester fabric of white with very narrow stripes. The seam allowances are overcast and turned under for finish. A book of matches was found in the proper right front, hip pocket. (See Marks). Also found in the pocket were three paper clips.
