DescriptionMan's sport coat of a brown woven fabric, possibly a linen and wool or synthetic blend, lined with a grey polyester half-lining. The single-breasted front closure has three plastic, faux tortoise shell buttons and machine-made buttonholes. A fourth buttonhole is stitched to the lower part of the lapel on the proper left side. The front is constructed with two darts on each side. The inner dart extends from the hip pocket to the center of the chest; the second runs between the hip pocket and the armscye. The back has a center back seam, with an eight-inch-long vent, and a side back seam from each armscye. There is a slash, flap pocket on each lower side front. A third slash pocket with upturned flap is placed on the proper left breast. The inside has three double welt pockets in the lining; one at each breast, and one at waist level on the proper left side. The sleeves are constructed of two shaped pieces, with a faux vent at the cuff and four smaller faux tortoise shell buttons. The front sides are each lined with a grey polyester that extends from the facing to the underarm dart. The lining is used in the sleeves, across the shoulders in back, and is also to face the vent. The pockets are lined with a brown cotton and/or synthetic fabric. The seam allowances are finished by being turned under and hand stitched.
