DescriptionWoman's full-length navy blue dress decorated with small, iridescent beads organized in floral patterns. The entire bodice is lined in a royal blue plain weave fabric, and has six rows of boning encased in white silk. It has snap closures. The majority of the dress, including the cuffs, vest, waist treatment, and skirt, are composed from a fine purple and black striped fabric. The sleeves, bodice base, and beaded skirt panels are made of a navy georgette and are lined with a pale purple satin. Beading occurs at the cuffs, the shoulders, the back and hem of the vest, and on the three georgette skirt panels. A beige georgette was used to trim the cuffs and neckline. Rows composed of two large pleats occur half way down the skirt and again towards the hem. The back of the skirt is gathered at the waist.
