NotesSubject Note: For many years in the 1990s and 2000s parishioners from St. Peter’s Church at 160 Main St. Hartford marked Good Friday with a procession recreating the route Jesus took on his way to the crucifixion. The mostly Spanish-speaking parishioners sang and prayed along their route, which was centered on the Dutch Point area. The procession went by the Institute for Community Research building (CCHAP’s office) on Wyllys Street, and CCHAP documented this event for several years. The Church, originally an Irish parish, closed in 2017 and merged with St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church on New Britain Ave. to form Maria, La Reina de la Paz parish.

Additional materials exist in the CCHAP archive for this event.
