DescriptionBust-length portrait of a young woman facing left. She wears a dress with balloon sleeves and a square neckline over a chemise or other undergarment. A shawl is draped over her right shoulder. She also wears a broad-brimmed hat decorated with two feather plumes and tassels. For jewelry she has a thin string or chain around her head, with a bead in the middle of her forehead.
