NotesSubject Note: Waterbury social service agency New Opportunities Waterbury, Inc. produced a festival in the early 2000s. Held in Library Park, Waterbury, the event included information booths, food vendors, local and regional performers, and a popular social gathering for the city’s Black and Latin residents. Cape Verdean dancer Raquel Figueiredo and her group Warm Heart performed at the festival during some years.Additional audio, video, and/or photographic materials exist in the archive relating to this event.
