NotesSubject Note: Riverfront Recapture in Hartford organized the Festa Italiana for some years in the early 2000s as part of its ethnic celebrations at Riverfront Plaza. The festival honored the presence of the Italian community in the nearby Front St. neighborhood that along with other ethnic groups who lived there, were displaced by Constitution Plaza and highways being built. The festival presented Italian music, historical displays, bocce tournaments, a film showing, and food sales.
