NotesSubject Note: Mi Casa Family Services and Education, Inc. was a social service and cultural organization founded in Hartford in 1991. Located on Park Street in the heart of the Puerto Rican community, this organization provided many services to the community and was a place where many gatherings, events, and activities took place. Mi Casa sponsored and taught traditional Puerto Rican dance to young people through its folkloric dance group El Grupo Raices. CCHAP and the Institute for Community Research partnered with Mi Casa on several projects in the 1990s and early 2000s. Mi Casa operates as a program and one site for the work of the Hispanic Health Council.
