NotesSubject Note: Ukrainians celebrate Constitution Day on June 28 to commemorate the adoption of its Constitution on this day in 1996, marking the independence of Ukraine from Russia. This event was an educational meeting to inform audiences about the revolution that took place in Ukraine over a disputed election in 2014. The Ukrainian National Home on Wethersfield Avenue in Hartford serves as an important community and cultural center and is the home of several Ukrainian cultural organizations including scouts and a youth group, the Zolotyj Promin dance group, Yevshan and Lanka “Halychanka” choirs, a gift shop, and several festivals, performances, and events.
