NotesSubject Note: The Scottish Festival organized by the St. Andrews Society of Connecticut ran from 1983 to the early 2000s. The Festival, held at the Goshen Fairgrounds near Litchfield, featured highland and country dancing, Scottish games, Celtic music, Scottish foods and imports sales, and Scottish history displays. The Society is still active in its support of community causes and charity sponsorships as well as scholarships and genealogy. It holds a Burns Night dinner in January and other social events, and maintains connections with other Connecticut Scottish organizations such as bagpipe and drum groups.
