DescriptionMemorial embroidery depicting three monuments bearing the names of maker Ruth Norton Upson's (later Pardee) brothers: Asa Austin (1788-1811), Samuel Newell (c. 1799-1811), and Samuel Austin (1818-1819). Mourners stand near their graves. A weeping willow is directly behind the monument to Asa Austin. In the background there is a small town surrounding a pond or small lake. On the right there is a cottage.
