DescriptionThree-quarter length portrait of Jedediah Elderkin, painted by an unknown artist after a portrait hanging in the Windham Library as of 1898. It depicts Elderkin as an older man with white hair, sitting beside a table covered with a dark red cloth. He is wearing a black suit with a white collar, and a shirt with a ruffled front and cuffs. His right hand holds a quill and is resting on top of two large manuscripts which are on the table beside two books. In the background, there is a bookcase. The painting is on a wooden panel and in a gilt frame.
