DescriptionAppliquéd quilt for a twin bed in a Colonial Revival Whig Rose pattern. The quilt consists of a plain-woven white cotton top and backing that are joined with a quilted pattern and with green fabric binding hand-stitched at the scalloped edges of the quilt. The appliquéd pattern consists of a pair of flowers surrounded by four pairs of flowers on green stems; these are located inside a vine arranged in a rectangle with a flower in each corner and at the center of each long side. The hand-stitched quilted pattern is geometric with floral embellishments that complement the appliquéd pattern. Each side of the quilt is edged with green, bias-cut fabric.

Condition: The top has scattered brown and light pink spots with a darker spot in the center and at one short side. There is an L-tear in the white cotton near one corner of the top.
