DescriptionTwo men in suits are seated at round tables in the interior of a room, apparently a combination office and storeroom for a store dealing in coffee, tea, and spices. The table is set with handleless cups, cans or canisters, and possibly a scale. The man at the right appears to be tasting coffee with a spoon from one of the cups. He is seated in a bentwood chair. A third man, wearing a hat, is seated in the background. The large funnel-shaped object at the left is a coffee spittoon. Shelves are stocked with merchandise in tins. Electric light bulbs, some with shades, and a fan hang from the ceiling. A telephone is on the wall in the right background. A calendar for the month of January is on the wall in the left background.
