DescriptionSixteen men stand in front of a brick commercial building with a sign that reads, "38 ALLYN & BLANCHARD COMPANY. 34". Some men wear overalls. Some wear suits and neckties. Some wear vests. Some hold bowler hats. One man holds a top hat. Some men have mustaches or beards. One man appears to be African American. They stand on a wooden porch or sidewalk. The building has louvered shutters, striped awnings, and metal grilles on the ground floor windows. There appear to be cast iron Corinthian columns between the shop windows.
