DescriptionView of industrial buildings, commercial buildings, churches, and houses in the city of Rockville, Connecticut. The prominent large factory buildings just left of center belong to the J.J. Regan Manufacturing Company and the Rock Manufacturing Company. The Central Park and Main Street are just right of center. The tall steeple in the center is the Union Congregational Church. The Episcopal Church is to its right.
NotesHistorical Note: Note found on postcard of same mill reads, "This is the mill / where most of the army blankets in U.S.A. for the / French soldiers were manufactured this winter. / It is the oldest mill in / town & has the reputation of / m'f'g the best woolen clothes in America".
