DescriptionWholecloth quilt consisting of a glazed brown, white and yellow cylinder-printed chintz top, batting, and a plain-woven printed cotton backing; these three layers are hand-stitched together in a quilted pattern. The cylinder-printed design consists of groups of three large yellow and white flowers surrounded by leaves and smaller yellow flowers. Each column of flowers is flanked by a border of small semi-circular flowers. The quilted pattern consists of a field of jagged lines.

The top consists of four panels of chintz; three of the panels are about 24 1/2 inches wide. The backing consists of four panels of plain-woven cotton printed in red with columns of flowers separated by a field of small circles. Each edge of the quilt has brown and white woven tape binding, also known as Trenton tape.

Condition: The back of the quilt has minor stains, faded spots and areas of slight yellowing around the edge.
