DescriptionWoman's deep blue, shiny "straw" hat with navy blue grosgrain ribbon trim and netting of blue or black with pink chenille dots. The round hat has a 2 3/4-inch-wide brim which turns down at the edge and is trimmed with a fabric painted with the same shiny blue colorant as the hat. The round crown is 1 5/8 inches high and is trimmed at the top and the bottom with navy blue grosgrain, folded lengthwise to a 1/2-inch width. The two ribbons create decorative half bows at the center back. The black netting with pink chenille dots is stitched under the lower hat band, falling over much of the brim and the face of the wearer. Deep blue grosgrain ribbons attached with elastic cording create the band to go under the back, holding the hat in place.
