DescriptionWoman's felt hat, entirely black, with netting, grosgrain ribbon bows, and a hatband for decoration. The crown is 2 1/4 inches high and slightly domed. The brim extends 2 3/4 inches from the crown at the forehead, angling down the last 3/4 inch. The brim widens at the back of the neck to extend 3 1/4 from the crown. There are two grosgrain ribbon bows on the grosgrain, narrow hatband. Black netting is stitched under the hatband along the front and sides, meant to cover much of the brim as well as the face of the wearer. Elastic cording is stitched to the inner band, meant to be worn under the back of the hair.
