DescriptionA broadside advertising the Berlin Iron Bridge Company's jail cell product for sale to municipalities. The jail cell can be “built either singly or in tiers, consisting of as great a number of Cells as may be required” and the standard size “is four feet in width, by seven feet high and seven feet long.” The cells are made of iron and steel with a “roof made of Iron Lattice with Wire Netting riveted between the lattice bars to prevent the prisoner attaching anything to the top of the Cell.” They are designed “to bolt down to stone or cement floor, but in case it is desired to use them upon wooden floors, we make an iron bottom for each cell.”
