DescriptionThis straw hat is made from braided lengths of natural-colored straw, 1/8-inch in width, with form built up by stitching the straw in a spiral fashion. The braided straw is inserted with two rows of one-inch wide decoratively-looped straw, with small straw spheres in the center of each loop. These inserts occur around the top of the crown, and at the base of the crown. The bonnet is also edged with this same decorative looped straw. Mounted on the left side of the bonnet are faux silk flowers and leaves in shades of green and pink.
The underside of the brim is lined in a purple velvet. The crown is lined in an off-white plain-woven silk. Two 3 3/4-inch ecru and yellow silk grosgrain ribbons are attached on the left and right undersides of the brim. The right ribbon is 31 1/2 inches long and the left is 35 inches long.
