DescriptionDesk set shaped like the Travelers Insurance Company Tower and surrounding buildings in Hartford, Connecticut. Made by Whitehead-Hoag to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Travelers. The roof on the left side of the tower building is removable to reveal a clear glass inkwell. The base of the desk set is almost square, with a different inscription on each side. Beginning with the front of the tower and moving clockwise, the inscriptions in raised lettering read: "The Traveler's Insurance Company"; "60th Anniversary Convention / WHITEHEAD-HOAG / MADE IN USA"; "The Traveler's Insurance Company"; and "1864 / The Traveler's / Hartford, Connecticut / 1924". The bottom of the deskset is covered with brown felt so it cannot scratch the desk.
