DescriptionA group of men and children pose in front of a brick industrial building. Most men wear workclothes, including overalls, shirts, and vests. Some wear hats. In some cases, the clothes appear to be very dirty. Some men have beards and mustaches. Those in the first two rows are seated on a bench and chairs. The man at the far left holds a small child in his lap. A small boy stands nearby. A small girl stands at the other end of the bench. Additional men are in the interior of the building and can be seen through doors on the second floor, which open onto an iron balcony. The men are on what appears to be a paved sidewalk. A wooden platform and a cobblestone street are in the foreground.
NotesSubject Note: The location of the shop is not known. On the basis of the name Goodyear, it has been suggested that it might be in New Haven. (Finlay 6/18/2003)
