DescriptionWoman's sports cap, perhaps for tennis, of a light blue and white striped wool with an ivory cotton lining. The striped are of equal size, 3/8 inch wide and running horizontally along the cap pieces. The cap is made of eight triangular-shaped pieces stitched together to form a beanie. At the center top, where all the pieces intersect, is a scant 1/2-inch-wide button covered in the striped wool. The brim is a semi-circular shape, 1 3/4 inches wide at the center, stitched to the edge across two full pieces and two half pieces. The brim is lined with the striped wool. The crown is lined with a cotton twill-woven fabric, a strip of which is stitched flat along the inner edge and pleated to fit over the circle that lines the top. Nice piece.
