DescriptionMilk bottle from Daniels Farm in Middletown, Connecticut. The bottle is made of clear glass, and the neck tapers to an opening that is more narrow than the base. Two seams run down the length of the bottle where the two separate halves appear to have been joined together.Raised letters around the lip of the bottle read "A BOTTLE OF MILK IS A BOTTLE OF HEALTH". Printed in orange paint on one side of the bottle is "Daniels Farm/ 5¢/ STORE BOTTLE". Below that, raised letters on the glass read "ONE QUART LIQUID/ II A 176". Painted in orange on the other side are two concentric circles. A cow's head is in the center of the small circle, and between the two circles are printed the words "DANIELS" above the cow and "FARM" below it. A painted banner below reads "DAIRY MIDDLETOWN PRODUCTS". Raised letters on the glass below the banner read "REGISTERED/ SEALED II". On the bottom of the bottle, a small circle is pressed into the center of the glass, and printed around the circle are "5 ¢ 5 ¢ 5 ¢". A small maker's mark in raised lettering reads "MTC".
