DescriptionBoy's dark blue velvet coat, with a deep, round collar of cream-colored silk faille edged with chemical lace in a floral pattern. The center front opening fastens with three velvet-covered buttons. The long, two-piece sleeves are set smoothly into the armscye and gathered at the wrist, which ends in a turned-back cuff. The cuffs, which are edged with dark blue silk-covered piping, increase in width towards the back of the arm, creating a point which is decorated with a self-covered button. The coat is lined with quilted white silk; the batting is wool, and the quilted pattern is a plain diamond grid.
