DescriptionCircular metal typewriter ribbon tin from the National Typewriter Company of Hartford, Connecticut. The top and bottom of the tin is light green. The top has a gold logo of an eagle and crest, with the company's address written in the crest. The company name appears in a circle around the logo, with "NATIONAL" above the eagle and "TYPEWRITER COMPANY" below the crest. Running across the circle (and under the crest) is a line that reads "SALES & SERVICE". The side of the cap is black, and the side of the botton is gold, giving the side of the tin a two-tone effect. The cap fits flush with the bottom and can be pulled off to remove the ribbon. The bottom of the tin has information about the materials and specific kind of ribbon contained.
