DescriptionMan's white cotton knit T-shirt with printed image and logo on front for Foxwoods Resort and Casino. The shirt has a finely knitted ribbing around the round neckline. The short sleeves and bottom edge are hemmed by turning the fabric under once and stitching it with double needles. The brightly colored image printed on the front in violet, yellow, green, and pink, is a rendition of a signed painting of the main hotel at Foxwoods, located at the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation in Ledyard, Connecticut. The view shows a large structure with a central glass-fronted tower, with two forward-projecting wings of the building behind an allee of trees leading to the main entrance. The logo for the casino, with the words "FOXWOODS / RESORT CASINO" appears on the front image and proper left sleeve. The signature on the front image appears to be "Richard Wallace" [?].
NotesHistorical Note: According to the donor, this shirt was given to him by his mother, Margaret Burek Hughes (b. 1930), who occasionally plays bingo at Foxwoods Resort and Casino. The casino is located on the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation in Ledyard, Connecticut.
