DescriptionDrawings show the location of the church, convent, and school relative to Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, stressing the placement of the sewers. Blueprint is of the basement heating plan for the church.
NotesHistorical Notes: John J. McMahon worked on these architecural plans for St. Thomas the Apostle School on Dover Road in West Hartford, Connecticut, in 1936. The site survey was performed by Batcheler and Barker Engineers. John F. Callahan was the pastor of the church at the time of the survey.
The drawings were enclosed in a wrapper labeled "FIRE DEPT. PLANS" and may have been executed to illustrate compliance with fire safety codes. (Finlay 5/30/2003)
