DescriptionA round pin-back button with a white background and black text. At the top of the button is a black and white drawing of Phineas Meigs' hat. Beneath the hat is the following text: "I SURVIVED THE/ BATTLE FOR/ MADISON/ 1782."
NotesSubject Note: The Battle of Madison was fought during the American Revolution on 19 May 1782. The town militia was led by Captain Phineas Meigs, who was killed by a musket ball in the head during this battle. Meigs was the last man killed in Connecticut during the American Revolution.
