DescriptionMan's dressing gown made of wool printed with a paisley design in red and multi colors on a pale blue background. The dressing gown is double-breasted, with a shawl collar. It fastens with three pairs self-covered buttons; both of the opening edges are worked with buttonholes, so that the dressing gown can be buttoned either to the right or to the left. The two-piece sleeves are set smoothly into the armscye and end in turned-back cuffs that are cut with a curved notch at the seam at the back of the arm. There is a welted pocket at about hip level on each side in front. The dressing gown is lined with cotton printed with a yellow, red, and black dot design on a red background, and it is entirely interlined with wool wadding. There is a loop of the lining material stitched to the center back of the neck for hanging.
