Description(a) A badge for the 59th National Encampment of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War held in Grand Rapids, Michigan in September 1925. The top bar of the badge is bronze and has the location of the convention. In the center of the bar is the emblem of the city of Grand Rapids. A yellow silk ribbon with gold lettering is suspended from the top bar. Suspended from the ribbon is a round medallion. The medallion has a relief bust of the Commander-in-Chief of the Grand Army of the Republic, Louis F. Arensberg. The reverse side of the medallion has a relief of oak and leaf garland on the border with text in the center.
