DescriptionThree medals awarded to Elvira S. Johnson from the VASA Order of America. All three medals prominently feature the organization's emblem, which consists of: the letters "VO" superimposed on a Maltese Cross, which is superimposed on a wreath. Above the cross is a sheaf, a bundle of grain tied together. The letters are in gold, the Maltese cross is blue with white outlines, and the wreath and sheaf are gold.
(.11a-c) Brass pin (a) for 50 Years of service. Pin has a top bar with blue enamel and gold text. A shield with the emblem of the Vasa Order of America is suspended from the bar. The pin is pinned to a blue velvet pad in the original cardboard box (b-c).
(.12a-e) Brass pin (a) with a gold top bar with blue text, "F. D. O." Suspended from the bar is the emblem of the Vasa Order of America. The pin is attached to its original cardboard backing (b), which is in the original cardboard box (d-e). A small piece of paper (c) in the box explains the safety lock catch on the pin. The reverse side of the pin is engraved with Elvira Johnson's name, the lodge she belonged to, and the date.

The Vasa Order of America emblem is suspended from the ribbon, and there is a crown at the top of the emblem. The pin is attached to a black velvet pad, which is in the original black leather snap-closure case (b).
