DescriptionA service medal for serving in the Spanish American War awarded to Captain John H. K. Davis. The ribbon above the medal has green and yellow vertical stripes. The medal recto has a relief image of a sheathed knife in the center of a keystone and surrounded by the laurel wreaths. The medal verso has a relief image of the seal of the United States. An eagle is in the center with crossed rifles on the left, crossed sabers on the right, and crossed cannons beneath.
