DescriptionA badge for the 1st Company of the Governor's Foot Guard, established in 1771. A small rectangular pin is across the top of the badge with "1771" imprinted in the center. The ribbon has red and black vertical stripes, and the ribbon is attached between the two metal components. From the ribbon hangs a circular bronze object with a plastic yellow-orange piece inside of the metal. On the yellow-orange piece the Connecticut seal and "QUI TRANSTULIT SUSTINET/ 1ST CO./ GOVERNOR'S FOOT GUARD" is stamped.
NotesHistorical Note: The Governor's Foot Guard is an established military troop that has discontinued active duty, but remains as a historical body.
