DescriptionHonorable Service Lapel Button, known as the Ruptured Duck, was awarded to military service members who served in World War II between 8 Sep 1939 through 31 Dec 1946. A gold color metal lapel pin with an eagle with spread wings perched within a ring. Proper right wing is behind the ring and proper left wing is in front of the wing. Richard Welling enlisted in the Army in 1944, and was honorably discharged from his service in World War II in 1946.
