DescriptionChild's dress of white cotton, with a center front panel extending from the high, round neck to the hem, made of white cotton fabric woven (not stitched) with horizontal pintucks. The panel is slightly tapered at the waist. The neckline is edged with scalloped eyelet embroidery. The two-piece sleeves are slightly curved and lightly gathered into the shoulder. The wrist openings are decorated with three tucks and an edging of the eyelet embroidery. The hem is also edged with the eyelet embroidery. The center front panel extends over the shoulders to form a yoke. The back of the dress is gathered into the yoke. It is also gathered along a drawstring casing at the waist. The center back opening extends to the waist, about 9 1/2 inches, and fastens with the drawstring and with three mother of pearl (one is mismatched) buttons on the yoke.
