DescriptionChild's dress of white cotton with a wide, square neckline bound with self-fabric and controlled by a drawstring. The bodice is gathered at the waistband and neckline. The short sleeves are edged with vandyke points, headed by two rows of narrow tucks, another row of vandyke points, and two more tucks. The sleeves are set into the bodice with raglan-type seams. The waistband is one inch wide. It is covered with a strip of whitework embroidery and edged on each side with piping. The full skirt is closely gathered into the waistband. It has a 3 1/4-inch-deep tuck above a double border of vandyke points and narrow tucks. The center back opening extends twelve inches and fastens with the drawstring at the neckline. The waistband extends in tabs on each side of the opening, but there is no visible means of closure. The waistband is lined with plain, white cotton.
